These are two sacred glacial lakes located at the base of Adi Kailash. Parvati Sarovar, also called the "Little Mansarovar," and Gauri Kund (Jolingkong Lake) are believed to have been created by Goddess Parvati herself. The crystal-clear waters reflect the majestic Adi Kailash peak.

Ritual: Pilgrims take a holy dip before proceeding to Adi Kailash darshan.

Patal Bhuvaneshwar Cave Temple

Altitude: 1,350 meters

This ancient limestone cave temple is 160 meters long and 90 feet deep, featuring incredible natural rock formations and stalactites. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and holds immense mythological significance, believed to be where the Pandavas sought shelter.

Formations: Natural Shivalingas, images of deities, and the divine head of Lord Sheshnag.

Detailed Yatra Itinerary

Day 1: Delhi/Kathgodam - Pithoragarh (230 km, 7-8 hours)

Departure from Delhi/Kathgodam. Drive to Pithoragarh via Almora and Jageshwar Dham (one of 12 Jyotirlingas). En route, enjoy stunning views of pine forests, valleys, and rivers. Check-in at hotel, overnight stay.

Day 2: Pithoragarh - Dharchula (90 km, 3-4 hours)

Drive to Dharchula, a beautiful border town on River Kali. Complete Inner Line Permit formalities and mandatory medical check-up. Explore local market and prepare for high-altitude journey. Overnight at Dharchula.

Day 3: Dharchula - Gunji via Kalapani (110 km, 7-8 hours)

Journey through Pangla, Mangti, Budi, Garbyang, and Napalchu villages. Visit Kalapani and Kali Temple. Drive along scenic Kali River with views of Annapurna range. Reach Gunji village for acclimatization. Overnight stay.

Day 4: Gunji - Om Parvat Viewing - Kuthi (30 km)

Early morning drive to Nabhi Dhang for Om Parvat darshan. If permitted, visit Old Lipu Pass for distant Mount Kailash view. Return to base for breakfast. Drive to Kuthi village via Vyas Gufa and Shesh Naag Parvat. Visit 250-year-old heritage house and Old Pandava Fort. Overnight at Kuthi.

Day 5: Kuthi - Jolingkong (Adi Kailash) - Kuthi/Gunji (40 km drive + 2-3 km trek)

The most sacred day! Early morning drive to Jolingkong base camp. Trek or take pony to Gauri Kund and Parvati Sarovar. Take holy dip (optional). Proceed for Adi Kailash darshan. Perform puja and prayers. Return to Kuthi/Gunji by evening. Overnight stay.

Day 6: Kuthi/Gunji - Dharchula (110 km, 7-8 hours)

Return journey to Dharchula with stops at scenic viewpoints. Reflect on spiritual experiences. Overnight at Dharchula hotel.

Day 7: Dharchula - Patal Bhuvaneshwar - Kathgodam (250 km, 8-9 hours)

Visit the mystical Patal Bhuvaneshwar Cave Temple. Explore the incredible limestone formations and natural Shivalingas. Continue journey to Kathgodam. Tour concludes with divine blessings.
